Product Cost Plays a Significant Role in Driving Cultural Change at GE

General Electric is one of the largest diversified industrial manufacturers in the world. The company designs and manufactures aircraft engines, locomotives and other transportation equipment, lighting, electric control equipment, generators and turbines, and medical imaging equipment. Over the past 6 years, GE has deployed aPriori across numerous divisions and hundreds of end users to identify and eliminate cost drivers in their product designs.

During our recent Cost Insight Conference, Daniel Caratini, Executive Product Manager, Should Cost & Productivity at GE Global Research, described why and how GE decided to drive a culture that is focused on product cost. Check out this video to hear his presentation which includes some of GE’s results to date.
